🧩 How LLMs Read Evidence: "Tokens"
LLMs don't read words the way we do. They chop text into smaller pieces called Tokens.
- 1 Token ≈ 4 letters or 1 syllable.

🎯 How to Talk to AI (Prompt Engineering)
When using a secure AI tool for analysis, how you ask the question determines the quality of the answer.
Here are 3 golden rules for police officers using AI to analyze digital evidence:
1️⃣ Give the AI a Role
Tell the AI who it is supposed to be.
Good Prompt: "Act as an expert cyber forensic investigator. Explain this suspicious script found on a seized mobile phone..."
2️⃣ Be Specific
Provide clear instructions, exactly as you would to a Sub-Inspector.
Good Prompt: "Read this email. Extract all IP addresses, phone numbers, and bank account details into a table."
3️⃣ Ask for Step-by-Step Logic
Force the AI to explain its reasoning so you can verify the results for your case diary.
Good Prompt: "Trace the flow of money in these bank transactions. Think step-by-step and explain how you reached your conclusion."
